A water bottle, a pair of boots (cleats), and a desire to learn the game and get better with your new team mates.

If you don’t have a pair of boots we normally have a few extras around the club for newcomers to borrow or have.

A mouthguard is also recommended for contact practices and matches.

HHIRFC is part of the Georgia Rugby Union. We play the Union style of rugby and focus on 15s. During the season we often field a 7s team as well. And also host a 6 on 6 beach tournament in partnership with Noodlebagz each August.

We field both mens and womens sides.

We typically train in Blufton, the first town on the mainland from Hilton Head Island, to make it easier for our team members with longer commutes from Beaufort, Savannah, or any of the military bases in the area to attend.

Check the calendar for the specific location as we move between several fields depending on availability and scheduling.

Our home matches are played at beautiful Barker Field on Hilton Head Island. It’s great to play on a pitch with an ocean breeze.
