Join us for our Inaugural Youth Flag Rugby Season! Hilton Head RFC is proud to partner with our friends at Island Rec Center to bring Flag Rugby to Hilton Head.
Come learn your new favorite sport and the fastest-growing sport in the world. We will be teaching a fun and basic curriculum designed for individual and team growth that kids across the country are learning and playing to get better every day!
Our club president, captain, and former professional rugby player Alex MacDonald sat down with Island Rec’s Chuck Mullen to talk about rugby and the launch of the youth program.
Want to learn even more after signing up? Our friends at USA Rugby have put together a great video describing the 15’s version of the game which is closest to the rules of the flag-version that the kids will be playing.
We’ll have sessions two days per week, Wednesday evenings from 6:00p to 7:30p, and Sunday afternoons from 1:00p to 3:00p. This session is for ages 8-14 and coed.
Sessions will be held at Barker Field (70 Baygall Rd, HHI 29926).
Thanks to a generous grant we’ve been able to keep costs low. The full session is $50 and each child gets a jersey and a youth rugby ball to keep.
The only things that the child needs to bring to practice are cleats, a water bottle, and athletic clothing.
